Follow up to the walk down the brook.... When I got to the old mill it appeared to be in poor condition. I had heard that someone had done this whole project as a lark. I walked around the building and noticed that the back door to the lower level was open. I looked in and here is what I saw. a main pulley (the big one) driving a belt around an Idler (smaller pulley to the right of picture) And thence a belt running up stairs to....... ? I had heard that the builder of this wonderful thing had a woodworking shop upstairs with everything driven by water. I will have to go back and take a second look......
